Going to Geneva? Then get FREE Travel!

Yes, you do sometimes get things for free!  Free Travel in Geneva!

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I arrived at Geneva Airport, because there, in front of me, was a ticket machine that gave all visitors to Geneva, a Free 80 minute ticket to get to their destination after their flight.   This meant that anyone travelling on from the Airport to anywhere in Zone 10, which is the main urban area, gets a free journey of up to 80 minutes.  This is what the machine looks like, so look out for it…..

And that’s not the only thing……

When I checked into my hotel in Geneva, the Receptionist gave me a GENEVA TRANSPORT CARD which entitles visitors who are staying in a hotel in Geneva, free travel for the whole time that they are visiting.

If you are not staying in a hotel, (which I wasn’t for part of my trip), then you do not qualify for free transport.  You have to be staying in a hotel.  You don’t even have to ask for the card, it is automatically given to every person checked into a hotel.

This saves an absolute fortune in a really expensive city as it entitles you to travel on all buses, trams, trains and even the yellow water boats on Lake Geneva, FOR FREE!
